Inspired in the 1852 English edition, this volume features the famous "Christmas Carol" and another four stories set around Christmas time: "The Chimes," "The Cricket on the Hearth," "The Battle of Life," and "The Haunted Man." All of them highlight the main themes in Dickens universe: charity, childhood, folktales, social inequality, dreams, and personal redemption.
In addition to Nuria Salinas' careful translation, this edition includes Michael Slater's introduction, professor emeritus of Victorian literature at Birkbeck College, University of London, and one of the greatest world experts in the life and works of the English author.
